A 52-year-old man in Madhya Pradesh died when a hospital lift carrying him on a stretcher malfunctioned and plunged down in Rewa only hours after he had survived a fall from a tree while collecting firewood on Saturday.
As for “why look up in the tree” because depending on the area, the ground might be picked clean of deadwood, and even if it’s not, any deadwood stuck in branches would be much more dry than the stuff on the ground.
Can’t say it’s the smartest move, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
Who collects firewood up in the tree. And high enough up to have the fall almost kill him?
It’s not like firewood grows on trees
Any fall can kill, even tripping over your feet.

Dead blokes, I reckon.
If the tree doesn’t get ya…nature, uhh… finds a way.
