      Is that still an issue? That’s an article from 2021, about a game on a console that is surely new enough to be able to push game updates to patch issues like that.

        It’s a cartridge type that uses flash media that degrades over time. So yeah, it’s still an issue. More cartridges have probably died since 2021. I know one out of my three did back in 2023.

        The 3DS handheld has an automatic repair function built-in that may be able to correct issues, but we also have tools you can use if you have custom firmware.

      Oh shit. Well it has been quite a long time now since I played on original hardware. I don’t even know where my 3DS is anymore. I was gonna just play on an emulator honestly. Maybe I’ll try to find it and boot it up again just to be safe…
