I’ve had dozens of dogs in my life, I spent a decade being a dog foster mom, I’ve never had one who eats poop, I know some do but I think it’s a weird stereotype that “dogs” like all or even most do

I had a dog that would be running clear of the poos and would make sure to steer and step on it. Also on multiple occasions we got her eating poo.

That was only in her rebel teen age, between 6 months and a bit over a year. Then she reduced to the point she stopped, but the fame stayed.

Not a big deal unless she jumped on our laps with dirty paws and tried to lick our face. Being a great dane, it was hard to not let her. If you don’t know what a great dane is, it’s one of those dogs that are closer to a poney than a German Shepard.

I didn’t want to imply it’s an universal truth - but it happens. Both of mine do. Only select poops tgough (the more disgusting, the higher the chance though).
