    “Very hot” according to the article is 70C (158F). This is well above the human threshold for pain of about 48C (118F).

    TLDR; if something hurts, don’t do it

      Yeah, this makes some intuitive sense too. If you’re drinking something hot enough to actually kill cells, you’ll need to replace cells more frequently. More cell replication means more chances for cancer to occur.

      I like hot tea but yeah 70°C is kinda sorta too hot. I blow on it before drinking anyway
