But even for park&ride this is a miserable way to do it, not only is surface parking just inherently awful in every way but they also separated the actual high-density residential area from the station by a big parking lot! It’s insane!

Literally the next station up on the same line has an actual parking garage and is thus more comfortable for commuting drivers.
