I’m not going to say the US is great at public transit, but the DC metro transit system is one of the best in the country. This stop is a bit of a cherrypicked example as many of the stops for the DC metro are in heavy urban areas surrounded by apartment buildings.

If you look at Philly, Denver, Chicago you’ll see that the average stop in DC is better utilized than in other places.
