    So the community whose police department is corrupt to the core and exhibits blatant mafia tactics with nobody batting an eyelid would care about a business defrauding some poor sod? I’m not so sure tbh…

      I think so, yes. Mormon’s stick together and have a bit of a victim complex. I think, due to their assumption that another Mormon can do no wrong, they automatically defend each other to the maximum extent.

      So, when Amon calls and says “this man is stalking me and he made threats”, they not only believe it completely, but also see it as a sacred duty to protect their own. Furthermore, I’d wager that part of the over the top response is so that all the other Mormon’s see how “good” they are since they are defending their Mormon brother so hard.
