What a nice breath of fresh air. Goes to show that this is possible and preferable. Fuck trump and his gestapo regime.
Sweet summer child. Does the propaganda make you feel all cozy and warm?
Men are men.
This is a man who likes to play with his grandchildren.
And not the Trump way
Lego is becoming the Disney of Europe. All cozy-looking while perpetuating and supporting evil.
Dude can’t wait to get it home and build it up
Won’t he have to contact the aliens to do it for him?
The goa’uld are pretty much all dead now
Shol’va!
Indeed.
No but you will have to build a trapezoidal pyramid and then cut out a pyramid from the inside and use the outside cut blocks to build the top.
Great vibes from this picture.
Smart idea, look how happy he is.
What do you get the dictator who already has an evil glowing orb?

Ah, the found Woody Allen’s orgasmatron device, what fun
The longer you look at that globe, the worse it gets.
Why is Alaska a schlong?
Is the photo real?
yes. I don’t think the egypt foreign minister is the one in the Trump photo though
That’s his boss. General Sisi was Mubarak’s second. He led a coup against the first democratically elected President and murdered him in jail. Egypt receives almost as much military aid as Israel, all to suppress their own people as an extension of the Israel occupation.
A good glowing orb. And then a neutral glowing orb.
I put a multicolor led bulb in the orb. It’s pretty neat looking.
CHAOTIC GLOWING ORB.
WAAAGH!!!
“I’m gonna make SO many slaves build this!”
Pyramids weren’t built by slaves
While its been scientifically proven that it was indeed aliens, I don’t think anyone knows for certain that they weren’t alien slaves.
Yeah i can see that, they travelled to earth with spaceship and other advanced technologies, then we beat them into submission using our pointy sticks and forced them to build shit for us
Until one of the aliens had finally had enough, killed a guy, then parted the Red Sea and led a bunch of slaves to freedom.

*alien prisoners with jobs
^ this man sciences.
I mean, nobody is saying it was aliens. But it was aliens.
“Yes, I just hate paying people”
They were some of the best paid workers in ancient Egypt.
I was just trying to extend JoeBigelow’s joke by suggesting that contrary to the actual pyramids, Abdelatty would actually not want to pay those who would assemble that Lego set.
They didn’t have much other option, so what do you call that other than justified slavery?
They were paid, and rather well. It was a work program, like Roosevelt’s New Deal.
So… they were free to move elsewhere and use that money for luxuries? They could go get another job?
Because being paid doesn’t mean you’re free. Or is the only type of legitimate slave the typical American kind? It’s not black and white, there’s nuances here. If the black slaves in America were paid, it wouldn’t have been slavery….? Because that’s the logic that’s being used.
It really just sounds like you’re trying to justify not calling people who aren’t free slaves when they still were by every other metric.
It sounds like you don’t know very much about how the pyramids were built, and aren’t interested in learning the truth. The workers who built the Pyramids engaged in some of the first labor actions in recorded history–they went on strike, multiple times, and were successful in securing higher pay and better working conditions. Many of the workers who worked on the tombs of kings were highly respected craftsmen in their own right, who often were given permission to build their own tombs nearby; in many cases, only a little bit less grand than the tombs built for the pharoahs themselves.
The Ancient Egyptians definitely practiced slavery, and also, they didn’t use slaves to build the pyramids. The slaves were doing things like growing food for the people who built the pyramids.
This would be funnier if Egypt was a democracy and not a horrifying dictatorship
Well, now I’m sad.
I mean I was wondering what types of people both politicians were anyway, but still.
I’m getting tired. Like in my soul.
Wait, when’d they become a dictatorship??
Edit: 2013?? How am I so far behind the times on this one?
Mubarak had been dominating the county since the 1980s. The 2011 to 2013 period was a brief period of not-dictatorship
I’m an Egyptian, and 2011-13 was 110% a dictatorship. We’ve always been under one, just different people in different ways
Morsi was elected, no?
So were Trumpp, Putin and Erdogan, no?
Morsi never had a chance to a peaceful transfer of power before the military staged their coup.
Later that night he sat on the floor, in a onezy in front of his fireplace while his family, glowed in the enjoyment there young president had putting it together, until he fell asleep and his son carried him to bed.
But seriously love this
Not when it’s a despotic regime.
The elected President was murdered in jail by this stooge’s boss.
Just don’t try to sell it to Bricks and Minifigs.
That kid is such a glorious nuisance. The definition of good trouble.
He’s still at it lol https://www.youtube.com/live/KALYYH1pWCM
I just realized how good the deal he offered was. Partial repayment of Lego value and a silly little dance is far and away the best settlement that one could hope for. And they rejected it because…
I have a theory that Mormonism plays a big role in BAM’s behavior. It makes good business sense to settle with the LEGO owner—they’re a 400 million dollar company, so 100k is a drop in the bucket. BUT, the top brass is all Mormon, so if they settle, they essentially admit to being a thief. Public moral failures lead to total social exclusion in the Mormon community, and I’d wager that any hint of an admission that you stole from old people would make you a pariah in the church.
If my theory is right, then the totally over the top behavior of the management starts to make some sense: there is potentially a lot more on the line for them than just some money and Star Wars bricks.
As long as they don’t admit it, the rest of the Mormon community automatically assumes they are innocent (because a Mormon would never do that), but if Amon does the chicken dance, then that community protection is shattered and he’d be cut off from everything he seems to value.
So the community whose police department is corrupt to the core and exhibits blatant mafia tactics with nobody batting an eyelid would care about a business defrauding some poor sod? I’m not so sure tbh…
I think so, yes. Mormon’s stick together and have a bit of a victim complex. I think, due to their assumption that another Mormon can do no wrong, they automatically defend each other to the maximum extent.
So, when Amon calls and says “this man is stalking me and he made threats”, they not only believe it completely, but also see it as a sacred duty to protect their own. Furthermore, I’d wager that part of the over the top response is so that all the other Mormon’s see how “good” they are since they are defending their Mormon brother so hard.
This honestly makes more sense than any other explanation I’ve heard so far. There’s no reasonable way to account for this many unforced errors without veering somewhere strange.
Chaotic good
It would be better to go to Reckless Bricks instead
Can confirm, Reckless Bricks does not steal from old people. Bricks and Minifigs, on the other hand…
It’s only half a pyramid. (short in German: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/4UIQstnZ9lo )
Half a pyramid is technically still a pyramid!
The Pharaos would probably strongly disagree :)
