Damn… It’s just called “Knock and Run” in Australia.
Does Australia finally have one thing we say completely normal?
It was called “Knock and Run” in the UK too - at least in the bits of the UK I lived in.
Ding dong dash is what we called it in the Midwest, US.
In the US south they use a racial slur, because of course
Mhm, midwest US and N***** Knocking was what we were told it was called, because of course.
It became Ding Dong Ditch once we grew up a little.
Yeah this was my experience. People used the slur n***** knockin’ through all of my childhood 70s and early 80’s but as a young adult in the 90s it was doorbell ditching.
Spent some childhood in coastal Mississippi and I can attest this is the case
Honky Hookin’
Not sure what OP’s mom has to do with anything
Rural southern person here we called it Knock, Knock, Dash how is that racist?
I grew up in a very bigoted Southern town that was still firing people from schools for being gay in the 2000s, and they still frown on interracial marriage. The N Word was a regular part of life growing up.
We called it Ding Dong Ditch.
Heard that one too. And I grew up in racist state and town they had open KKK stickers on their bumpers but still never heard a racist version. Which guess I am grateful for.
Your experience does not disprove mine, as a fellow southerner
it’s not. but you’re not the only one down there and you were, apparently, raised right. ;)
It apparently used to be called ni**er knocking. I’m in the rural south too, and I’ve always known it as dong, dong, ditch.
But then again my mom was arrested at a civil rights rally (on the side of black people being equal), so my upbringing might have something to do with it.
Ireland : knockadolly
Belletje Lellen
That is way closer to this image than I thought english people ever actually got IRL

FORCEY FUN TIME, jesus christ XD
This couldn’t be written by a brit, dont they call gravy brown sauce and white sauce?
No, brown sauce is brown sauce.
What the hell is brown sauce.
I don’t see cold on the cob, which is my favorite.
I prefer being american than talking like this lowk 😭🙏
It’s why there are so many independence day celebrations dotted around the world.
I like this one

Huh, never heard that one. My teacher once said “arrêtez donc les conneries avec les sonnettes” so we called it “connettes” but I’m fairly sure that was just a handful of grade 4s, that one year.
Tolkien’s first draft
A door prank?
I regret to inform Gemma that calling it Chappy is also some “Charles Dickens shite”
FYI chap is Scots for knock. So it’s essentially called Knocky. That ain’t very Dickens.
Dictionary proof: https://dsl.ac.uk/entry/snd/chap_v1
Canada, we called it Nicky Nicky nine doors.
Ding Dong Ditch in Surrey BC, 80s
My dad called it “cut the shit” but… on second thought that might not have been a name
It’s cherry knocking and all of you are fucking heathens for disagreeing with me
What if you buggin and knock too hard, Mary?
