I’m out of the loop on this and I don’t want to look it up, I’d rather ask here and have one of you fill me in.

Edit: I’m grateful for everyone who replied.

Macklemoore was opening for Ed Sheeran on his tour, and took some time in his set to speak out in favour of not genociding Palestinians, including clarifying statements that he wasn’t blaming Jews in general, just specifically the state of Israel.

The owner of many of Sheeran’s tour venues phoned him and said he needed to change his opening act or he’d be barred from performing at venues owned by the same company and several other venue-owners who’d agreed to join the threat. Sheeran caved, despite the fact that some of the tour dates were too soon to plausibly book a replacement capable of filling the venues, and Sheeran being a massive ticket-seller in general, so it likely being a bluff.

P!nk retweeted a message from a pro-Israeli organisation accusing Macklemoore of extreme and vile antisemitism, then when called out for it, doubled down with direct accusations of Macklemoore being an antisemite and wanting to harm Jews.

I’m Jewish. I’m not religious. I’ve studied a fair amount about Jewish, Abrahamic, and Judeo-Christian history, scripture, and culture. I am by no means an expert, but I’ve forgotten more about these religions than most people ever bother to learn.

Armed with this knowledge, I’m ready to make an assessment:

          • P!NK is a bad Jew.
          • Any pro-genocide Jew is a bad Jew.
          • Any Jew who calls people antisemitic for criticizing military actions is a bad Jew.
          • Any Jew who compares humans to animals and uses xenophobia to justify marginalization is a bad human.
          • Any Jew who uses comparisons to animals as justification for extermination is a bad person.
          • Any Jew who condemns children instead of reaching out to them is a bad person and is not paying attention.
          • Any Jew who celebrates the extermination of entire families, bystanders, and civilians needs to examine their entire life while literally eating a brick.

I hate that criticism of Israeli foreign or domestic policies has been equated with a criticism of judeusm and Jewish people as a whole.

There are definitely Jewish people in Israel who disagree with their governments actions. Same as every country.

My family sure isn’t in that group and I’m so fucking pissed at them. We lost dozens of family members in the Holocaust, passed down our stories for, like, 2 generations, and then said “fuck it, the real problem was that we didn’t get to be the Nazis.”

            Another one for the list:

Any jew who forgets that they’re not the only semitic pepple and cries antisemitism for themselves but not the Palestinians is a bad jew.

I did as I began to editorialize a bit more, but in just examining “what does Judaism say makes a good Jew,” there are enough relatively black or white assessments that a good/bad value can be assigned. My opinions on whether or not someone is a good person is probably less hurtful to Nazionists than “your scriptures around which you’ve built your identity say that you’re doing it wrong, and anecdotally, God hates you.”

And please don’t talk to me like I’ve never stood up for my beliefs when it was unpopular. In the middle of the Gulf War in 2006 I put out a song called “Dear Mr. President” and sang it every night on tour while my country was in a war I didn’t support,

And now I’m standing up for my own people,

Translation: “my country” = America, “my own people” = genocidal Zionists. Great take. I’m sure all the dead women and children in Palestine would be so proud of you.

For real, how does everyone in the media bother to feign such cognitive dissonance all the time? When someone says they’re against the war in Iran, does that mean they want to kill all Americans?

Who falls for this shit? Zionists need to find something better than playing the victim card 24/7.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t pinks exact brand that she was edgy and counterculture? And didn’t Eminem get quite a lot of success with Mosh and White America? If so I don’t quite see how courageous she was, standing up against Bush

At some stage they really do start to think the world revolves around them.

Double fuckup because she has essentially equated Jews with Zionists and crybabies.

Ed Sheeran has tour, one of the openers is Macklemore. Macklemore makes pro-palestinian comment.

Robert Kraft, owner of the Patriots NFL team, and its stadium, Gillete, made an ultimatum and coerced the other venues to join him to remove Macklemore from the tour.

Given the choice, Ed Sheeran dropped Macklemore, and at a later time, several of his other openers have dropped from the tour. Pink is one of the artists to chose to stick around.

Sheeran is claiming neutral, but when the two options presented are kick macklemore out to use the stadium, or keep macklemore, you cannot be considered apolical if you choose either. He chose the first, therefore is political, even if he doesnt necessarily agree with it.

The biggest news of who dropped from the tour is Ed Sheeran’s band.

I appreciate the reply, and have formed an opinion that pretty much aligns with the other sensible people here.

I also hope Robert Kraft steps on a Lego. Made of nails. That gives him tetanus. And contains wasps. And sharks. And explodes.

I remember when he stepped on a lego and it hurt so bad he jumped up and down and hopped on one foot right into an intimate massage parlor and his credit card fell out of his pocket and he paid to exploit sex traffic victims.

Good times. What a nanny set of circumstances.

Macklemore was opening for Ed Sheeran and made a statement in support of Palestine. Pink reposted some Instagram story demanding he apologize, and Ed Sheeran didn’t defend Macklemore when the guy who owns most of the venues on the tour demanded he be dropped.

I’ve never been a fan of her music, but I respected her after watching the music documentary called Hired Guns - she treats her musician employees VERY well. (watch it, it’s unreal).

Now,however, no. Fuck her. Fuck Sheeran.

Given that Ed Sheeran is Rupert Grint, and P!nk doesn’t look like P!nk, I suspect that P!nk is not P!nk. Off the top of my head, I think there might be a famous effeminate gay man that vaguely looked like that, and upon using reverse image search, I learned that this is James Charles, who is indeed a famous effeminate gay man, and a YouTuber.
