Though I deleted all social media apps, blocked YT shorts and dont use stuff like TikTok, I still fall into attention traps from time to time and suddenly realize that I have spend 2 hours scrolling through a subredit (for example) full of post totally irrelevant to my life and will now be very late on my schedule.
Do you have any strategies to avoid such situations?

In my experience, setting frequent alarms can help with time-blindess. Having an alarm or a pop-up go off every 20-30 minutes won’t ensure you’re focused on the right task, but it will build more awareness to the amount of time that has passed since you’ve been off-track/distracted/going on random rabbit holes.
Even the ‘time to stand’ message that Apple watches do at ten minutes to the hour is good - it’s enough to make me think ‘crap - how long have I been doing this’ for a second which is the prompt for me to consider what I really want to be doing.
