Roughly 96% of people polled by the Mirror US believe Donald Trump is the “dumbest president ever.”
The survey, conducted last week, asked 15,000 people to assess President Trump’s decision-making as the crucial 2026 midterm elections approach.
“‘Dumb’” is such a polite word," one commented.
“I think it’s pretty obvious to anyone with an IQ over 90. Even kids think he’s stupid,” another joked.
It’s still an unrelated survey, not the one the article is about. It’s better than a twitpoll, but the 15k sample size got me excited in a way a 1500 sample size doesn’t.
Raw sample size means very little when you’re wanting statistically significant information. A properly prepared poll can get a statistically representative response from as little as 100 responses as long as you’re not needing something like 1% margins.
On the other hand, a twitter poll will self-select based on that userbase. It won’t be an representative base of the country/world… but it will give a statistically representative response for the group of users still on and actively using the MechaHitler site. MechaHitler social media users giving a 96% response like this is insane. Twitter is nearly as far from a left wing bastion as you can get, other than Truth Social.
