I left last year when they tried this BS. Screw streaming services. If they’re just going to slowly turn streaming into the new cable TV, who needs them? I don’t need ads in my paid service. I don’t need hiked prices every year. I can find quality content on the high seas, without ads and/or subscriptions.
Agreed. But noticed in another topic they might be banning users for talking about the high seas on some servers. Either that or it’s Admiral Patrick is back…

KODI tripled it’s price recently.

I use emby for free (well, it’s on my seedbox which I also have sonarr/radarr/qbittorrent/emby to automate downloading stuff)
Media consolidation results in less competition and higher prices. It also results in crappier product that in turn leads to less subscribers. There’s too many other things competing for people’s time and money (like the Internet, video games, podcasts, etc.)
So how long until this business model implodes and the remaining three media companies start begging for a government bailout?
Kind of odd to increase prices when you’re cutting back on content and hoping video podcasts can fill the void
