I became an e-scooter owner in June (Segway Max G3) and have since had to teach myself how to do any and all repairs, which thankfully isn’t that difficult, provided you’re okay with researching and teaching yourself via YouTube and have the income to buy tools.
The closest advertised repair shop to me is 50+ miles away.
It’s important to know, since many people are going the e-scooter route due to fuel costs that you may have to do all of the repairs yourself if you do.
my xiaomi essential has somehow lasted like 5 years without anything more than a tyre change and gluing the rear spoiler back down so it’ll stop rattling.
Then again i get the vibe that people here are talking about what are effectively mopeds, rather than actual e-scooters.
Yeah, I really want to buy one of these things, but there’s no place around that could do any kind of work on them. I also wouldn’t mind a gas-powered scooter, but the nearest shops that sell them are over 25 miles away and they don’t work on any scooters that they didn’t sell you – and their cheapest scooters cost even more than the Aventura-X.
