    I would like to introduce you to a genre of telefilms that in Spain is known as “after-lunch film”. Most of them are US productions and would put to shame even the cheapest anime.

        We have also US soap operas (Beautiful rings a bell?), but these are not serialized. They are just standalone films. The genre is so bad that people joked about them being summed up in 3 different plots:

        He kills her

        He rapes her

        He kidnapps her
