          I hate so much when sections of Lemmy moderate as if they still have corporate masters to answer to and advertiser-friendliness to worry about.

          Oh really? I missed that rule, I thought it was just using admin powers to reveal them was the no no. There’s only one mod of that community.

            Hence why I’d be able to know who to tag without being an admin myself 😁

            I’m pretty sure that we’re not supposed to mention even the most guessable identity if it’s not in the modlog entry, though 🤷🏻

              One of the posting guidelines is literally:

              Which mods/admins were being Power Tripping Bastards?

              So, if OP already figured it out, then I think it’s fine to mention. But I’m actually not 100% sure why there is a rule against deobfuscating the modlog in the first place. I’m typically for more transparency rather than less. I think @db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com would have written the original rule, so I’m sure he can explain it better than me :)

                If the mod is obvious then you can talk about them. If it’s not, then refer to the “community mods”.
