It has many features beyond what Trilium (which is a primarily note-taking app) offers, such as: finance tracking, inventory management, goals & tasks with linking and priority, workout & habits logging, and especially reminders and alarms: trillium has no official mobile app, only the PWA, which can’t access android alarm permissions. These are out of the top of my head.

But Trillium has more features regarding notetaking specifically, of course, some of which I intend to implement in the future. But yeah, is older and battle-tested, so I understand your decision.

The advantage of Trillium is the scripting ability, it can actually do all the things you just mentioned, as well as anything else you want to spend an hour or two programming, and it can do it precisely the way you wish.

Sure, but “you can script it yourself” is a very different value proposition from the software actually providing the feature. By that standard, any sufficiently extensible application can “do” almost anything. And Ontoplano itself goes into that category, since it comes with a REST API and webhooks, making it easily scriptable too.
