Americans may find it hard to comprehend but much of the world now sees China more positively than the US. Has their opinion of China changed, though? No.
It’s going to be a SUPER rude awakening for Americans when they find out there are consequences to all of this and the benefits they’ve enjoyed for 70 years are being actively unwound.
The day a country stops being dependent on the US is the day the US stops having any power over it.
Since most of them have zero concept of a past or a future and believe everything is a continuous reaction to the present, the way they live their own lives, when they don’t see IMMEDIATE negative results to an action, they assume it had no consequences at all. I’m no psychologist, but considering a ton of the asshats who support this government were also from the kind of families that didn’t let their children receive natural consequences and instead got out the belt, they internalized “If nobody beat me after I did it it’s fine.”
