Why does the newest Doctor look like Rick Sanchez?
A cartoon about an otherworldly genius with spiky blue hair and a glowing green techno-magical device? And they travel the cosmos throughout time and space? And there’s a callow but endearing sidekick who serves as a foil for the protagonist? And they get into madcap adventures in an episodic sitcom format? Gosh, to be a successful TV writer. “Where do you get so many creative ideas?” we’ll all ask at the convention panels.
I look forward to some weird lore being added to Doctor Who.
They haven’t announced a cast yet, but the show follows a young Doctor. Based on the image we have a young teenage Doctor. Of course that means… A new Doctor! The Doctor has never regenerated that young before, although as we saw with the Timeless Child, it can happen.
Do I think the show will address this in any way? Absolutely not. But will it cause some weird lore? Absolutely.
No way they pass up on the crossover potential with David Tenant and the other Doctors guest-starring for an episode.
They definitely could, as could any of the companions. I would bet a companion run in first and probably a Doctor voicing a guest non-Doctor character, but probably a Doctor crossover eventually.

anyway can’t wait to get excited about this and then have them cancel it after one season cough class cough yes i’m still bitter about it.
