The bill, which will fully come into effect in the new year, will result in many adults covered through Medicaid having to meet new work requirements and being subject to more frequent eligibility checks, while there will be less federal funding for states for Medicaid.

Yep. The loss leader of medicine. Heavily reliant on Medicaid. Heavy lean on 60% Medicaid as base income for rural areas. Even then, no Medicaid reimbursement covers the cost of birth.

    Republicans really do hate women.

The signs should read Republicans kill babies and mothers. To get the appropriate level of head spin.

Doulas are an emotional support that medical care doesn’t provide and are great in addition to medical care. They are not relevant here because doulas do not provide medical care and are not a solution for lack of medical services.

          No.

Just because a doula could potentially be “the only resource” to deliver a baby, doesnt mean it is safe, or healthy.

You want infant/mother mortality to go up? Because thats how you kill babies and mothers.

Had there not been a medical doctor available at my birth, both my mother & me would have died the day I was born. My son and I might not have made it, now that I think on it.

          Giving birth is terrifying enough.
