Welp, here I am. Fortunately, the fad seems to have died out, but I’d go to friends, we’d order a few pizzas. Someone would say what do we get? I’d say “Sausage,” and someone would say “Pineapple” or “Hawaiian,” and people would ooh and ahh.

Guess who only got one slice of sausage, and guess which pizza always had leftovers? People wanted to get it because it was a fad, and I’ll stand by that. Sausage is tried and true, best topping.

I never claimed that pineapple or any other topping had to be popular, liked, regularly ordered, or that it wasn’t a trend.

Just that nobody actually balks at it, because why the fuck would they? That’s not normal adult behavior.

And if somebody does balk at it, it is almost certainly because they have been conditioned by the popular meme, not because they actually give even half of a shit.

And I’m saying I balked at it, because everyone who said yes to pineapple would inevitably have a slice of sausage in hand, and I just want two goddamn slices of sausage pie!

Your failure to grab two slices is your fault, not your friends’ fault. It’s a problem that’s extremely easily solved, by you, without any necessary change in behavior from anyone else.
