You can enable the bleeding edge too, if you like. The repos have multiple versions of packages.

I’ve never contributed to the AUR, so I can’t really compare. GURU does have a bit of process in exchange for some oversight, but there are completely unmoderated overlays too.
That’s completely fair! I think pacman is a much nicer to use package manager than emerge, and Arch has a great community :3
