Flávio Bolsonaro reportedly leaves Brazil for US after election defeat

A police source told the AFP news agency that Bolsonaro's passports had been "cancelled" and that there was "no formal record" of him leaving the country.

In a video post shared on social media on Monday, Bolsonaro said he had been banned from leaving Brazil and that he had been “served a notice to surrender my passports.”

    Article doesn’t mention why he is fleeing… three of his associates are already in jail for billions in financial fraud, money laundering and literally stealing old folk’s pensions, he had “privileged jurisdiction” because he was a senator, but now he is nothing and is going to be properly prosecuted.

    Being elected was his only chance to stop the investigations. When his father was president he was being prosecuted for misappropriation/diversion of funds and his father put the national intelligence agency to work on how to anull the proofs against his son, he changed the head of federal police and three main names in the IRS (including the federal head and the head of the state he was being prosecuted) to stop the investigation and then nominated a new supreme court judge that invalidated the evidences to bury the case. The whole family is a fucking mafia (they are a literal militia), but they go on TV and say “we gonna fight communism” and all the imbeciles vote for them.

      That’s what baffles me most about all these corrupt fucks: how many morons still vote for them anyways. It’s not like you need to be a genius to see them for the frauds that they are…

        It’s not frauds, they’re just hearing stuff differently than you are.

        What they hear is ‘my tribe (which is also your tribe as long as you support me) will get all the things, and everyone else will be left with nothing! Look, we’re so good at taking resources that even the law can’t stop us! Look, we’re so dedicated to taking resources that we’ll even beat up small children!’

        For them, all that fraudster stuff (and in the case of Trump and ICE, attacking kids) just makes them look better to those types. It shows they’ll scrap as dirty as they can to get all the stuff for ‘their team’. It’s the dark side of tribalism and it tends to rear its ugly head during unsettled times, due to limited resource access.
