See, I’m the reverse, I don’t understand the phones that fold in half. A regular phone already fits in my pocket and I want to use it as a table if needed; usually for video content.
It might depend on how large your pockets are. I’ve been tempted by the flip foldables because I’d love to have more options to put the phone than just my back pockets. Though I’m not actually sure if the front pockets on my pants are large enough for those.

The pockets thing is 100% more of an issue for anyone wearing women’s pants. Mine are 50/50, and the difference is very annoying.
Apparently slightly thicker than usual but half the height is a good compromise for women who need to be able to put their phones in tiny pockets.
