I want affordable ram and a job again. Until then, it’s still a fucking wet fart since they just use it as an excuse to buy more ram and lay off more people
I genuinely thought you meant a ram truck at first and I was like why would anyone wish for a Dodge?
I think he means an actual ram animal, the big imposing bull-like animal with curled horns and four legs. If he meant Ram truck he would’ve capitalized the R. If he’d meant Random Access Memory, he would’ve capitalized all three letters.
Until then
Sweetie, we need to talk.
good luck talking to my corpse if I can’t get a fucking job
Dead man walking.
(I joke, and do hope you find work)
hey, there’s job openings out there. Just, you know, 100 billion applicants and rising per job.
I only have to beat the entire world to get one role.
I hear you bud. I’m a “Full Stack Developer” or whatever the trend is calling it these days after AI. I don’t even know what my job is anymore.
If your job title is full stack, that’s a real ass job. It means you take the data from the back end and display it in the front end, and accept the data from the front end and put it in the back end. You are also responsible for any changes that happen to the data through this process and that you apply those changes in the correct place.
TL;DR : You make the API, you consume the API. Also, put it into some god awful, unnecessary node.js dependency hell for some godforsaken reason.
Ummm. Do you have a good recipe for blueberry pie?
Please please please please let it happen
The markets seem to be reacting to something. Fingers crossed we can all go buy gaming rigs again soon.
I’ll settle for roasting marshmallows outside the abandoned Port Washington data center.
The markets are just reacting to the markets. Their impending collapse in price is already priced in.
What am I missing here?
We are having some fizzles, and while some people keep dismissing each one as isolated, it is hard to keep that narrative credible. Most of the relevant stocks are down 20-50% over the last month or two. A key indexing China popped to the tune of 40%
Most recently the biggest one was Google admiting AI search is bad business for them, with way more expensive queries but with way less revenue.
Another report basically said that over half of the hoarded crap the datacenter companies bought up after sitting either completely unpowered or idle even after “delivery”.
Even as he was trying to spin it all as good news, Musk basically said hundreds of these datacenter companies are going to fold up (basically accepting the shit storm, but saying it just applies to others, not his interests).
I’ve no idea the backstory to be clear, but was in a conversation where a vendor said they had huge cancellations and wanted to find customers to take the sort of stuff inmediately they had just last month said they had a six month wait list for. I don’t know for sure it was AI datacenter bs, or how isolated it was, but it seems possible that we may be starting the shit storm of datacenter cancellations.
I think it has something to do with powdered milk
The joke is that the only ones who got anything out of AI are the consumers of AI-generated pornography.
I thought so but I thought “surely AI porn is just as bad as all the other slop so that can’t be it”
The spooky ghost!
