I had to use win11 recently. Coming from Linux and macOS (yeah, work), I can’t believe how stupid windows got.
On top of all the performance issues and crashes, you can’t even do the most basic things, like showing percentage of battery remaining and moving the freaking task bar. I’m not even mentioning all the initial debloating you have to do to make it usable.
Yeah my work made switch from Windows 10 to 11. There is definitely a lot of little annoyances.
What gets me is that there isn’t anything new that I can see. It’s always been an annoying thing with windows releases where they remove some things or make some things a little worse, but usually there are a few things to point to you could say “well at least that’s better now.”
With 11, it seems they released something that’s slightly worse, didn’t improve anything, and forced everyone to use it.
I guess they added copilot, maybe that was the big new feature that was supposed to make it worthwhile? LOL. Nobody liked it, it’s too expensive and they’re removing that now.
