The big problems today cannot be solved easily without making a lot more problems. We don’t need to pretend otherwise to criticize how they are being addressed.
Yeah I’m sure it’s impossible to cleanly fix, say, homelessness. Otherwise you’d become such an unlivable hellscape as checks notes Finland.
I don’t think that’s a really good argument. Yea, there are always going to be problems to solve, but changing some things wouldn’t be that hard and would make other, smaller, problems.
