AMD and NVIDIA sell products that are generally useful and established, but it’s hard to say how much of any of these company’s value is tied into AI hysteria or contracts that will fall through when AI customers go belly-up.
Yes, the bailout price is also not the same as valuation. I don’t think it’s outrageous to think that the coming recession will wipe out $20 trillion from the market, though.
