I have a big no soliciting sign on my door, when sales people knock anyway I make it a point to waste as much of their time as I can and not buy anything.

I can’t find the story on !talesfromtechsupport@lemmy.world but tl;Dr
Spakie kept unplugging our telecommunication equipment on a building roof to power his tools, so after a couple warnings to them and the building manglemt I cut the plug off his extension cable. He got the message real quick after that.
I once cut my extension cord with my hedge trimmers because I was getting a little ambitious with my trim work. It took me all of 30 seconds to put the wires back together and keep on with my work LOL. In case u aren’t aware cords are super easy to repair, especially for a sparky.
No doubt he fixed it in under a min but he stopped unplugging our gear, which was the point.
A petty inconvenience is often the best kind, no real harm done but message sent and clearly received!
A seagull but in Scots?
Electrician but in Australian.
