Last night saw his party and his ego massacred bigly. Let the man grieve, alright? He deserves it, along with everything that’s coming to him now.

A narcissist at Trump’s level cannot have his ego damaged, cannot be wrong. This wasn’t his fault, no way it could be. He’s already made such noise.

True. He has already started the fingerpointing, blaming the candidates and thus offloading his responsibility for these results to them.

But where before he would have been met with pure, cultish sycophancy, this time around, he’ll face resistance, and fingers pointing back at him. Republicans have seen now that being aligned or just associated with Trump is absolutely toxic and will inevitably lose them seats. Thus, the closer we get to 2028, they will increasingly shun, undermine or even openly oppose him, which will hurt his ego bigly. I’ll be there for that, schadenfreude cranked up to 11, gleefully watching on as he goes through his own, personal, well-deserved hell.

He was in Fox News as the results were dropping saying how it wasn’t his fault anyways, those candidates sucked.

Trump Lost His Party These Midterms

Both indirectly (war, tariffs, ICE killings) and directly, by recruiting:

        • Ken Paxton (TX) over the opposition of the entire Republican Party apparatus
        • Darline Graham (SC), for no actual reason (he doesn’t seem to have liked Lindsey all that much? And any Republican in this seat would have been just as acquiescent as Graham promised to be?)
        • Michael Whatley (NC) out of spite for Thom Tillis
        • And assuming Ohio was safe enough to leave open in order to have JD as his VP
