Apparently Ms. Paint forgot to read the wiki page:

The American Heritage Book of English Usage states, “Using Ms. obviates the need for the guesswork involved in figuring out whether to address someone as Mrs. or Miss: you can’t go wrong with Ms. Whether the woman you are addressing is married or unmarried, has changed her name or not, Ms. is always correct.”

    (Emphasis mine)

Are ms and miss pronounced any different, though? Never had to use either, only “king”, “queen” and “Our Great and Respected Leader Dictator”.

My mom taught me that “Miss” is pronounced as it’s spelled, whilst “Ms.” is pronounced “mizz.”

        edit: Correct autocorrect.

“M(u)z” is also common. The vowel quality is tricky to spell. What there is of it is the unstressed central vowel heard in most varieties of English, which may or may not be that identified as a schwa. Actually pronouncing the ‘i’ of “mizz” may be seen as trying too hard, where it wouldn’t be in “miss”.

I’m fairly certain they’re pronounced the same in their spoken form. There could be ways of verbally distinguishing them, but I’m unaware.
