Both in an economic and diplomatic sense. Why would I buy things from a toxic and volatile economy? Why would I stake my future on the unreliability of a republican government? The only things still holding the illusion of strength together is the AI bubble and the hope that things will be better when Trump dies.
It’s not either. Public opinion on those topics have not really shifted.
