30-06 black tips from a garand or BLR. if all you have is AR-10 or M14, extract the black tips from 30-06 and reload into 308, and a bull barrel, you should be able to drop the dog with placement in its li ion battery. If you don’t have access to gun, use HPS painball rifle and blast its sensor, it will be blinded. M2 is basically poor person’s AP.

Hey, i’ve been doing some research on these things; figured I’d share some advice.

30-06 might be enough, but a lot of these dogs can be fitted with sloped armor or ablative armor that renders a lot of small-arms or lower caliber rifle fire useless. In the video, it is a bit deceptive, but it tries to make the point “outrunning them is very difficult” because it’s near impossible; they can move very, very fast and most of what you see is what we know from Boston Dynamics trial videos from a couple years ago. In just a few years, they’ve advanced significantly.

Aiming at the battery always will work; and blinding it’s sensor is a guarantee of course. But that’s why it’s essential that this video points out that fighting isn’t always going to work. Simply because of swarm tactics. These things don’t need to eat, drink or sleep. They can siege a position for months at a time with full communication with each-other with various models meant for breaching, clearing and air support from drones as well with immediate combat awareness if even one unit detects something off. Complete that with a full suite of infrared, motion detection and the terrifying A.I aim that even backyard youtubers can create with a jailbroken chat-model.

That’s exactly why I share this. Fighting should be a last resort against autonomous agents. They will always be able to think better than you, move faster than you and be much more aware of the world around you than you ever can be simply through the diversified array of tactics and sensory abilities beyond just dorky robot dogs that we’ve seen on Youtube. If every “clanker” was a dumb Elon puppet-bot then I sincerely don’t believe China would be showing off the autonomous weapon platforms it already has. (not China-mongering, just pointing out that if China has full on autonomous jets, then it’s likely the U.S military or police forces will have similar devices for “keeping the peace” in the future…we can already see the trials in Gaza.)

In terms of the other tactics you mentioned; the video mentions that bundles of cable or thin boards are effective deterrents against them. Sand and motor oil in a paintball, or fire-extinguishers as the material in them absolutely fucks bearings. But at the end of the day, an autonomous agent with a gun will always aim faster and shoot first unless you can always get the element of surprise. The problem with relying on that is the element always has a half-life.

I think that’s the most effective tactic you can do, as horrible as it sounds. Make yourself more of a difficult target than your neighbor. Isn’t it fucked that is basically what the video says? In reality, it does mention safe-houses/etc which applies more to Taiwan for whom this video was made unlike the U.S who I’d imagine would be hyper-individualist survival mode if this situation occurs. One of the reasons I share this too is because I strongly believe in the future the United States will use these and other autonomous agents in “terrorist attacks” to create a credible cyber-threat.

It’s all indeed fucked, comrade. All my information goes out the window when chemical agents and flamethrowers are involved, too, for extra horror. You can have extended swarms of autonomous roving platforms burning house-to-house and gunning down any survivors; fully flanked by sweeping air-suites detecting even the smallest fart. Chemical agents to clear fortified positions. No need for air, water or food. Horrifying shit. Nukes are useless compared to being able to devastate entire civilian populations.

Honestly, it just guarantees an extra layer of MAD. Global EMPS and constant jamming is going to send us all back into the 1800s real quick.

Are we fucked for revolution or decolonizing? I hope we aren’t but every day the tunnel exit away from capitalism destruction seems smaller. How do we even gain ground in combat when these clankers can do their masters’ tasks without effort?

Nope. There will be great barbarism. But technology proliferates…Watch Dogs actually had something there beyond the jank gameplay and lib vibes. I would not be fucking shocked if our world genuinely looks like a shitty spinoff of Watch Dogs and Cyberpunk RED in 30-40 years.

Either it proliferates and the elite are getting knocked out by their own tools or MAD happens and nuclear salvos/EMPs will render all of their power “baseless” if it truly gets to that point. The problem with relying on a electronic surveillance net is that when you get back to the 1800s during a nuclear salvo is that all of your tools; all of them; are gone.

Basically nerds like me should go back to hacking. Dammit and I thought I was ready to walk away from these shit. I wanted to be more present in IRL like mutual aid and community defense after 15 years of exploit dev shit. Guess I can’t run away from fate, sigh… Thank you for your insights once again comrade you’re a very wise person. :)

Both is always good. Mutual aid and community defense are great for knowing who’s around you and making plans with people you can trust. You can totally do both! But yeah, definitely never walk away from that.

No problem! It’s something i’ve been looking more into as I genuinely believe it’s our future. 21st century schizoid man is a relevant song these days.
