The irony could not be any more delicious. Over on asklemmy@lemmy.world there is a topic called “What can people say on Lemmy, but not on Reddit?” (https://lemmy.net.au/post/238728). I log in today to Lemmy and see that all of my comments in that thread have been removed by a mod, and I was instantly permanently banned from it for “ban evasion”.
I’ve never been banned from this community or instance before, so not really sure how this would be justified. Not only this, but a comment in a completely different topic on there, titled “What’s the most ridiculous reason why someone sent you death threats?”, was also deleted by the same mod at the same time. He also hid all of his removing my comments from the Mod Log for the community. I still have other comments in that community available, so it cannot have been an automatic “remove all my comments and delete from mod logs” either.
Looking at the mod who did it - candyman337@lemmy.world - I already had him tagged in Voyager as “loves censoring”. 1 month ago he deleted a comment of mine in another topic about why people dislike Pedro Pascal, with the reason of “transphobia” out of nowhere, which doesn’t make sense given the comment.
What is going on with Lemmy.World and their ridiculous power abusing mods?
