Mamdani would not have won without running as a Democrat. I’m still in favor of a party coup via primary action unless the DSA can actually go toe to toe with the Democratic and Republican parties at the same time. I’ll probably drop some money on them in '26, but I’m not really convinced they’ll be a potent standalone group without the brand recognition of the Democratic party.
It doesn’t matter if he wouldn’t have won if he turns into a generic establishment Democrat anyways.

now that DSA is relevant all of the sudden its waste of time, worse than doing nothing, government psy-op, or whatever excuse people make up to not join the DSA. my answer is anything and everything including joining and helping a DSA chapter then write about what we have done for posterity and so others can figure out what best accomplishes what they need
There’s many other options. Greens, PSL, split the DSA to cut off the DNC wing, do a Lenin, so many options.

also there’s a lot of organization that are involved in politics that don’t run candidates they lobby and get their legislation into effect. a lot of organizaiton do use money, but then theres organization that can organize canvassing group for candidates and vet them… like how the dsa vetted mamdani
