So now we can add “directly capturing a sovereign leader” to the list of crap the US has done. So what do you think will actually be “the straw that broke the camels back” for world leaders to actually do something? Think it’ll be significant or something mundane?

Do people actually believe this? The US gains hugely from international trade laws that are basically in its favour (they got to write them after WW2). The loss of trust in America will cost it far, far more than any magical gain that Trump believes in. The US exports copyrights and software. Things that could be easily just copied and not paid for if we are all no longer interested in actual laws.
Nobody trusts America, that’s silly.
They trust Raytheon, Boeing, etc. to continue providing them with weapons, IMF with loans for those weapons, and so on.
Rule one of war, the arms dealers, PMC companies and money lenders are the only ones that win.
America made sure it’s all 3 to basically every country.
You can’t just cut America out of your economy unless you think other countries arnt just goanna walk in and claim they own you now afterwards.
It takes many many years to divorce yourself from those sorts of reliances.
Yes. So many fools ate it up when Trump and JD Vance were going on and on about how much the US spends on projecting power across thr globe and how the world owes them money for that, as if the US gets nothing in return for every military dollar it spends… stupid fucks.
