Former Trump administration official and wife of top Trump aide Stephen Miller, Katie Miller, posted Saturday on X (formerly Twitter) an image of Greenland covered in the U.S. flag with the text “SOON”.

Remember 4.7 million voters were purged from the rolls in 2024.

Yes too many didn’t care enough to vote but enough were prevented from voting to swing the election. Republicans are an anti democracy party

Always were. You know that bullshit they always spewed about “small government”? What they meant was NO government, because then the power is wielded by money and physical strength, i e fascism, just like they want it.

They don’t believe in democracy because they believe they must and shall rule regardless of whatever anybody else wants.

Just like a religion, just like a cult. Now look at them!

And the other 1/3 didn’t mind trump enough to vote. So yes, it is the majority of American people.

Because of the electoral college, getting out to vote when you otherwise wouldn’t have is almost entirely useless in most states as the party most states will side with is basically a forgone conclusion.

On top of that, the Republican party has spent decades making it deliberately difficult to vote by limiting the number of polling places, as well as limiting mail in voting.

The Democratic party on the other hand refuses to attempt radical economic upheaval that poorer US citizens desperately need because Democrats are still the “moderate” party that is in the pocket of billionaires.

The Republicans routinely promise radical actions that they say will make things better for everyone. They’re lying of course, but it’s hard to be exceptionally poor, have no access to health care and vote for the party that is not advocating radical actions on your behalf.

It’s 1 day every 4 years (2 including midterms). Even if the nearest polling place is 1 hour drive away. Even if your vote won’t be the deciding vote. In my country it takes less than 10 minutes to vote, but lets say it is 2 hours in the USA. That is a total of 4 hours.

If 1/3 of US-Americans are not willing to “lose” 4 hours every 4 years. And 1/3 of USAmericans directly vote for fascism. Then a majority of USAmericans are ok with fascism.

Every election is held on a Tuesday. Most of those people cannot afford to take a day off of work because capitalism has fucked them over so badly.

Republicans have also stymied any attempts to turn election day into a national holiday specifically for this reason.

If they live in an area where their representatives do not vote for these policies, what are they supposed to do? Are they supposed to burn down local government buildings, when everyone in that local government opposes Trump as well? They’ve also already tried peaceful protests. Trump doesn’t care about that.

If you’re one of the 1/3 of the dipshits who did not vote you bare full responsibility for this mess! You are part of the problem, you had a choice and you chose to support this idiocracy.

We know exactly what they are doing already. Watching the trains go by to Dachau saying “better them than me”. Watching their sons and daughters go to war saying “well I’m not really political”.

Feckless cowards. They bear full responsibility for the current situation yet you can’t count on them to do anything they aren’t made to do.
