Either they value your privacy because they care about you to some degree (I get the feeling this is common)
OR they spy on you constantly and you turn into a psychopath (many cases of the children of spies and security agents being completel psychos)
I guess the most interesting storytelling device here would be to make the kid a young tech genius so they can evade the scrutiny of their parents
