I’ve lost some appetite for entertainment, as I stare in disbelief at America, seeing so much (distracting) entertainment options than at any time in history while at the same time outright white “Christian” cruelty is on the rise.
Where I live, intense poverty combined with massive amounts of entertainment, notably action movies, have warped a lot of people’s minds on the concepts of morality, justice, and other values, so making it difficult to create true societal changes such as getting rid of feudal politicians from power. Instead they want instant plenty and instant justice – those hallmarks of people on too much instant gratification.
I think this book and the TV series should be mandatory reading / viewing alongside 1984.
Brave New World has to be on the list. In many ways we already walked into the brave new world while worrying about 1984

I think Americans need to be more concerned than I do about that. Sorry state of affairs when education is a criticism
