    That sounds like being fired for cause, which usually means you aren’t entitled to unemployment benefits.

      For normal employees yes, for cops in America? Nah he’ll get unemployment and be quietly hit by another police department within six months if he doesn’t go straight to ICE…

      Hell he may have done this intentionally to up his ICE signing bonus.

      Extremely ironically, cops are usually members of a union. That could introduce complications to firing one of them, even for cause.
