You want to stop the war on immigration? You have to remove DHS. It should never have existed.
Removing ICE is not enough. The demands should be impossibly high and compromised with the elimination of DHS and all laws stemming from the insanity that was 9/11. We never did the work to repair that damage, we were straight torturing people for fun.
Next up is the War on Drugs. We really fucked ourselves up and destroyed millions of families just to suppress minorities. The reparations for this would be in the trillions.
Finally our addiction to war and death. The US is responsible for more deaths than any nation ever and kills its own citizens at a shocking pace. We lost more citizens to gun violence in the last thirty years than we lost in every war we have ever fought combined. It has to stop.
We don’t have enough time and energy to fix all the problems we have caused. The answer is not to go for broke though. We need selfless leaders who think decades ahead. There is no future until we make it.

Are you hoping AOC will magically introduce some bill to fix everything that all the Republicans will somehow vote for? Maybe she could get in her invisible jet and tie up Trump with her magic lasso.

Individuals popping off won’t achieve anything. There has to be a figurehead to organize and direct resistance. She could be that if she wanted to step up but just posting rants about how bad it is on social media doesn’t get anything done. There has to be something actionable.
That’s not really ever going to be a politician. Any figurehead for a social movement, that I know of, has not been an elected official. They have a role to play, but it isn’t that one, and I don’t know why you people keep expecting it to be. You can’t really be an elected official and a figurehead of change. They are practically mutually exclusive.
For an example, MLK Jr. was viewed pretty poorly by society at large. The media said he started riots, and things like that. He’d never be elected if he ran for office (at least, above a minor local role). You can’t be divisive and get elected, and it is divisive to say many things we think of as common sense. Her job is to make that more normal, not to take the extreme stance we want.
