Some of our State governments and major hospitals are deeply embedded in Israel’s health ‘ecosystem’, while Israel refuses to help 20,000 injured in Gaza and has damaged and destroyed 94% of Gaza”s hospitals, killed at least 1,722 healthcare workers (and now over 30 in Lebanon) and detained and seriously mistreated hundreds of Palestinian health workers, including senior doctors, without charge.

No no, just a semi-serious prediction. It feels like we’re waiting for the other shoe to drop on these laws… they’re repressive and it’s a matter of time before an anti-Netanyahu journo is charged. Might take until the next govt for an admin who wants to wield the power that harshly though.
The new law includes very loose legal tests like just ‘ridicule’ or ‘contempt’ are now hate crimes when referring to the nation state of Israel or Zionism, under threat of jail time.
Even the Jewish Council of Australia said it is deeply concerned that the new laws are “an attempt to slander and intimidate hundreds of 1000s of Australians who have been protesting against Israel’s genocide and egregious human rights abuses”.
Now with age controls identifying ever person on every account with everything they have ever said online. You know, for the kids…
