The purpose of non-violent protests is us telling them “We’re being civil trying to get things done, if you ignore us for too long, we won’t stay civil.” It is NOTHING without the possibility of violence being a next step. When people started unionizing they’d drag out those running the business from their homes and harm them. They then started listening to them when they were being non-violent.

Lol there’s more than that you can find organization to join or conversely find people to organize with. Then you can start putting pressure on local governments, then county level, then federal level politicians.

There’s also turning protest into marketing for hopefully leftist movements that make them look good or normal people. Turn it into a concert, meet and greet, rave, or whatever else if yet to think about. It actually helps to build community and protest could help start that or boost it.

If you do think violence is necessary for change it will help to organize with like minded people

Yes, it is needed, or the threat of it is. Especially when said government, local and county, are aligned with that business’ interest. We didn’t get the 40 hour work week, weekends, overtime pay, benefits, etc. from just asking nicely. We demanded it and when they laughed in our great grandparent’s faces, they beat the shit out of them.

I won’t denounce violence, I’ll give you some ideas on matrix. I’ve seen Minneapolis.

For me know I want to give people the peaceful organizing option were we do mutual aid, socials, and making canvassing fun.

More options for the most amount of people

Oh yeah, organization is key and not everyone has to be able or willing to be violent. Just a significant portion that they cannot be easily singled out amongst the group. Though that doesn’t mean someone shouldn’t protect their community and those in it.
