Delaying until people simply forget is a common and effective strategy. However again, given the highly political nature of events like this, you would run a high risk of a lawsuit and may be investigated for wire fraud if you are not careful about your terms.

Just put it in the fine print and let it check a lawyer. I’m pretty sure you can craft it in a way that is legally safe…
