Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps warned on Sunday that any military ships approaching the Strait of Hormuz will be viewed as violating the two-week ceasefire and would be dealt with “harshly and decisively.”

In a statement carried by Iranian state media, the IRGC said the strait remains under the “smart management” and control of Iran’s navy and that the waterway remains open for non-military vessels, but that military ones would get a “forceful response.”

No word yet on whether U.K. will send minesweepers, as Trump said.

I dunno. It’s possible that if Trump does indeed close the strait, NATO nations may go and try to open it.

But yeah, it’s more likely that they’ll nope out and stay out of it.

Why would you help the USA when it has shown repeatedly how ready it is to completely screw you as soon as you have helped it out of a predicament of its own making?

So you seriously think e.g. France will send ships to the gulf, and shoot at US ships?

If Winter comes close and the US is still blockading their fuel? Yes, I think it’s possible.

Even if France wanted to, it would be suicidal. The US Navy is way too strong. No, it is obviously not possible.
