I would absolutely take the train if it took 5 hours to get to my destination for a 2 hr flight.

Ban short haul flights and fund HSR with fuel subsidies given to flights.

You can’t replace Paris to Athens with HSR yet, but there is no reason to use planes for trips that would take less than about 3hrs.

kind of curious why they would rather pay Russia for oil than stop subsidized air fuel, but I guess even white lives don’t matter as much as those holiday snaps.
