    PTB, this is to be expected given the history of Lemmy.world’s management when it comes to similar issues. Like the drama surrounding them removing the piracy communities. They were banning their users for being against that, and when it was called out, they reversed the instance bans and changed them to community bans.

            In many ways it was. Lemmy.world had a lot more power and influence back then. I mean I still blame the other instances who chose to close registrations to “wait out the Reddit migration”. I know people will defend that choice (for some reason) but it is insanely shitty to close the doors in times of need, and acknowledge the need, as if it’s some kind of problem or annoyance.
