    As a centrist kind of non-woke person, if I see my son playing with dresses, I go “oh, cool” and move on. Not worth making a fuss about in any direction.

    My first son (biologically) turned out to be a trans, and never exhibited any clues towards it before leaping out of the closet as an older teenager.

      This is far from centrist, it’s actually a very leftist position. “Leaving people be” sounds apolitical until you realize that 50% of the population want to repress trans people and consider them mentally ill. Wear your leftism with pride, non-judgmentalism against ethnic minorities, women and LGBTQ is a very political statement in a society that systematically oppresses them.
