Howdy,
A few hours ago, I was smoking a cigarette outside and looking up at the sky. Suddenly, I saw something that looked like this:

A small glowing dot (like a plane light) and a glowing trail
(from the looks of it, it wasn’t a meteor)
It moved with the speed of a plane from right to the left.
Maybe Starlink?
I could have checked my ADS-B monitoring for planes but I haven’t set that up outside :/ my antenna is also small.
You’d probably have to doxx yourself a bit to have a chance of a good answer.
Like @Assassassin@lemmy.dbzer0.com suggested, it’s probably the future orbital debris that will keep us trapped on this planet no matter what, i.e. satellites. More specifically the ones for internet service in low orbit. When they move into position they often move in a string of pearls formation.
So it’s that, aliens, or the unimpressive prelude to our armageddon.
