My work just took chrome (yay) and Firefox (boo) off all pcs because of “their vulnerability and security holes” or whatever the it dude just told me because I bitched

I was like “Microsoft itself is a [repeat what he just told me].”

“How so?”

“Uhm, copilot is on all the computers reading everything?”

“Well, it’s the only ai we’re allowed to use.”

As if that has anything to do with or negates anything that I said

I continue to be astonished that so many giant, mainstream companies like Microsoft are able to get away with staggeringly-poor security practices. And in the case of shit like Recall they just blatantly fucking lied about it.
